I started my business whilst on maternity leave with Monty who now attends Little Cakes. I was working as a Regional Manager for a large cosmetics corporation and knew that returning to my role wouldn’t give us the flexibility as a family that we were looking for to enjoy a bit more harmony in life!
My husband runs an accountancy practice and has some clients who run a recruitment company for construction roles and I saw the opportunity to use this network to start my own recruitment business finding talent for accountancy practices. My husband had struggled to good candidates during his firm expanding and I would listen to him talk about the service provided by recruiters and saw the opportunity to use my high touch and communication skills to create a recruitment company with a personalised approach. The clients who he works with have become directors of my firm and have given invaluable advice, support, and help me set up the company infrastructure to become successful. Over the last 6 months we have built strong relationships with our database of candidates and clients alike and pride ourselves on taking a personable approach, focusing on our reputation and offering an exceptional, genuine, friendly service.
