Welcome 2022!

All of us at Little Cakes hope you had a wonderful Christmas catching up with your loved ones. We all certainly did. We were disappointed we couldn't have parents in to watch the children perform their nativity play. Luckily we were able to film it so I hope you enjoyed watching your child perform in the comfort of your own home. I'm sure you agree they were all wonderful!

This month all the children are learning about the Arctic and Antarctic. We have been discussing ice and how it melts. Plus all the different types of animals that are found in these regions and what they do to survive and keep warm. They will all also be learning about the artist Monet.

The children have been experimenting with using our new forest school equipment - magnifying lenses. We have been collecting leaf litter with our buckets and spades to investigate what lovely little creatures could be living in there.
