December 2022 Newsletter

We have an exciting month ahead of us!

Both rooms have been busy preparing their crafts and are enjoying creating lovely pieces of work for you to cherish. These precious crafts and artwork will be something you can share with them as they get older to remind them of how talented they all were in pre-school! These make wonderful keepsakes and beautiful additions to memory boxes.

Over the past few weeks, pre-school have enjoyed visits from their parents and sharing their favourite story books with the class. Thank you for coming in. The teachers have enjoyed taking a little break!

In December we will be inviting some parents to help prepare Christmas crafts with the children. This is a great time to work alongside your child and enjoy the hustle and bustle that happens behind the scenes at Little Cakes!

We will be holding a pre-school concert on Wednesday 14th December. The children have been rehearsing some songs to share with you on this special day. There will also be a bake sale and tea/coffee available to purchase.

Those children that do NOT attend nursery on a Wednesday are asked to arrive at 10.15 am.

We will provide all costumes for the play.

The baby room will also be inviting parents along to create some crafts. There will be a list going out soon so you can jot down your name on one of the days to join us. Please note the timings and whether you feel this will be appropriate for your child. If your child is staying for the full day they may get distressed if you leave them again for the second time that day. These activities may not be suitable for all children if they are still settling in.

Pre-School Christmas Concert 10.30 - 11.30 am

(children who do not usually attend on a Wednesday - please arrive by 10.15 am)

Friday 16th December

Baby Room – Stay & Craft 12.30 – 1.00 pm

Friday 16th December

End of term for term-time children 6.00 pm

Friday 23rd December

End of term for the whole school 1.00 pm

Tuesday 3rd January

School re-opens

Parking

Please be considerate when parking your car during these periods as we have a lot of parents coming in and out of the car park.

Photos

You are welcome to take pictures of your child on the day. Please be mindful of other children and please do not share any photos on social media.
