This term has been packed with lots of activities and outdoor play. We have celebrated Diwali - we learnt about the festival of light and colours and created our own divas. The children discussed Remembrance day and the importance of poppies and what it means to be brave. More recently we helped raise money for Children In Need by baking spotty cookies!

The babies have been busy baking honey oat cookies, courgette carrot and mushroom muffins and pizza pastry tarts! All of which involves, mixing, chopping, grating and cracking eggs plus using our 5 senses!
As we draw closer to the end of the year the nursery becomes even busier. The children will be practicing their Christmas concert songs, creating Christmas crafts for our craft sale and baking seasonal delights!

What type of activities do we do on a daily basis?
Wiping our lunch mats
Composting our food waste
Wiping our faces using a mirror and a warm flannel
Carrying our chair to our work stations
Sweeping up any spillages
Practising our grace and courtesy rules such as sharing, using kind hands and waiting for our turn.
New Building Project
The new building project is well on its way. We are hoping to have a grand opening mid January 2026
Our current nursery garden will be the next phase of the project which we hope to start in Spring.
We will be renaming our 3 rooms to:
Acorn Room: age 9-18 months
Sapling Room: age 18-36 months
Oak Room: age 36+ months

And finally....!
